Darkest before Sunrise

You are
You are all I'll ever need
You're my everything

I want to thank you, for not giving up on me
I want to thank you, for believing what could be
You see it means so very much, to me
I want to thank you, for never letting go
I want to thank you, for waiting in the cold
I don't think you realise, how could you know

You are my everything to me, oh you are
You are all I'll ever need
You're My Everything

I want to tell you, but words fail me at this time
I want to tell you, that you're always on my mind
From the moment that I wake, to last thing at night
I want to show you, this love is deep inside
I want to show you, you see it in my eyes
Have you sensed the change in me, do you realise

You are my everything to me, oh you are
You are all I'll ever need
You're My Everything
You are my everything to me, oh you are
You are all I'll ever need
You're My Everything

You are
You are all I'll ever need
You're My Everything

Viva Las Vegas

Romantic dinner with the best view of Vegas I have ever seen at Mix

One of my perks as a flight attendant is that I can travel for pleasure on a short notice.

I was in Las Vegas this weekend and had a really nice time.

Desk lamp and the view from the suite

Name of the hotel on the shampoo bottle (THE hotel)

We spent the night after our dinner with friends, catching a comedy show, visiting the said comedian backstage, going to our friend's bar/club, not to mention having drinks all night as Sin City would expect you to.

The beautiful bed pictured was a welcoming sight at 4 in the morning after a busy night.

Like Yesterday...

The dark, warm morning air gave me no warning

Of the devastating events that was happening

Far far away

Like yesterday, I remember every scene of that day

How it changed my career, my life, my thinking

Like yesterday, I can still hear the noise of the boulevard

the sound and the voices of the people

the TV

the radio

As we stood there

Staring

At what we hoped was a bad, bad dream

Like yesterday

I remember

And I will never forget

DIY project #1 -- Vintage Barbie

Midnight Mischief Barbie by Robert Best

Like any girlie girl, growing up, I absolutely loved Barbie.
I can not tell you how many I owned, and I still have them stored away in the closet, and when my niece visits, she enjoys playing with them.

Barbie is just timeless and every girl is enchanted with her.

Now that I am older, I still love Barbie, but in a more sophisticated form, -- a.k.a. art pieces.

I own few of Robert Best's vintage Barbie prints in frames, and also bought a calendar last fall featuring his work.

I adore the style from decades ago -- those classic coats and dresses are so simple yet gorgeous. Unlike the blond bombshell modern day Barbie that I had, the vintage ones look so much more sophisticated.

I was trying to figure out a way to recycle the marvelous pictures from the calendar, and figured why not just cut them out, paste onto some interesting/coordinating paper and frame them?

And that's exactly what I did.

I took the calender apart...

Colorful papers for the background...
Some may be just solid colors, but they are textured

Measuring and marking and cutting....

Waiting for the glue to dry...
