Meow Mingle
Meow Mingle, held monthly at Pussy and Pooch in downtown L.A. and their Long Beach location
Anybody that knows me knows one thing.
I can not live without cats.
My baby's name is Coors, and he is pictured here sprawled on a computer desk, minding his own business. He is 15.
I recently signed up on a website called Meetup.com and it's a great place to find people that has same interest as you.
You can find any groups ranging from Yoga enthusiast to power walkers to knitting, writing, gardening, basically anything.
I, of course went in looking for cat lovers, and I attended my first event tonight, held at Pussy and Pooch in downtown Los Angeles.

Split Road
In life, it is normal to be knocked down on our knees.
We must embrace life's challenges.
Though we can't be sure why the challenges are displayed in some fashion -- normally not until a while after we survive the hunch -- it most certainly is custom fitted for you.
Recently, I have gone through some personal challenges that are still pending.
I am, though, extremely humbled by the experience and have seen some VERY kind acts by some people in my life (you know who you are) and am already seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am actually thankful for what this has created for me in my life that I would have never found on my own -- another road.

Cold Treat
In Los Angeles, along with the Hollywood sign and Walk of Fame, Farmer's Market on Fairfax and 3rd is one of the most recognizable landmark.
I spent some time there with a friend this past Sunday, walking around after having a yummy BBQ pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese along with ice cold lemonade.
After we were done, we stopped in for some good old fashioned ice cream, at Bennett's which has been family operated since 1963.

At this cash-only, award winning spot, I chose my mint chocolate chip on a cone, and sat down to people watch on a warm Mother's Day afternoon.

Sweet day
Birthday Balloons
I think it would be pretty hard to come up with something sweeter than a child's 3rd birthday party.
Pink cupcakes
This past Saturday I was invited to my dear friend's daughter's birthday celebration and I was delighted.
I have enjoyed the celebration my niece and nephew have had in the past, but now that they are a little bit older, I do kind of miss that sweetness of a child's smile when they open the mounds of present they get and the whole anticipation they have.
(Giant) Birthday Cake
It was a nice pleasant afternoon, catching up with friends and enjoying some sweets and the gorgeous weather.
